The RBE Group, the international restaurant guide GreatList, Russian Railways (RZD), and mobile operator T2 are launching a series of gastronomic trips on “Sapsan” trains. For the first time on Russian high-speed trains, passengers will be offered special meal sets from the best chefs in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The project will mark the first phase of a long-term partnership aimed at enhancing the culinary experience of rail travel and creating a new format for premium dining on the go.

In the initial phase, chefs from leading restaurants in the two capitals will present menus adapted for service on a high-speed train. In the future, Russian chefs will be joined by international chefs from Asia and the Middle East, recommended by GreatList, Michelin, Tatler Best, and The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

The first gastronomic trips will take place in the first-class cars of the “Sapsan” on the Moscow–St. Petersburg route during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). Passengers will be offered meal sets created by Andrei Shmakov, brand chef of the SAVVA restaurant, the Metropol Hotel, and the Shalyapin bar in Moscow, and by Likarion Solntsev, brand chef of the Krasota restaurants in Moscow and Dubai. St. Petersburg will be represented by Dmitry Reshetnikov, brand chef and co-owner of the ZAZAZU and MON CHOUCHOU restaurants in St. Petersburg.

T2, a Russian mobile operator that develops services and special offers for the premium segment, is partnering on the project.
